Inhaltlich drehen sich alle Werke um das Thema Vertrauen.

Im Sommer stolperte ich über die Geschichte von Isaak, der von Gott aufgefordert wurde, seinen Sohn zu opfern. In vollstem Gottvertrauen ging er den Weg auf den Berg Morija, bis ihm ein Engel erschien … er seine Prüfung bestand und anstatt seines Sohnes einen Widder opferte.

Diese Geschichte berührte mich zutiefst aus einem Grund: Das Urvertrauen.

Wie klar im Vertrauen muss jemand sein, der sich dieser Aufgabe hingibt? Und wo – in meiner kleinen, bunten Welt – kann ich mir eine Scheibe davon abschneiden? Wo darf ich mehr und mehr im Vertrauen sein? Welche (Selbst-)Zweifel darf ich loslassen? Welchen Berg darf ich in vollem Vertrauen besteigen und was sind meine Opfer?

In dieser Fragestellung und Geisteshaltung entstanden 18 mittel- bis großformatige Bilder.

All the works revolve around the theme of trust.

In the summer, I stumbled upon the story of Isaac, who was instructed by God to sacrifice his son. With unwavering trust in God, he embarked on the journey to Mount Moriah, until an angel appeared to him... he passed his test and instead of his son, sacrificed a ram.

This story deeply touched me for one reason: primal trust.

How clear must one be in trust to embark on such a task? And where - in my small, colorful world - can I take a piece of that? Where can I be more and more in trust? What (self-)doubts may I let go of? Which mountain may I climb in full trust, and what are my sacrifices?

In pondering these questions and adopting this mindset, 18 medium to large-scale paintings were created.
